The Rodeo
We reached an all time high this year, and raised $30,000 (net) for Sandoval thanks to the hard work of many who participated in last year’s Silent Auction. Not only it is our biggest fundraiser of the year, it’s an annual social event for the whole community.
We offered over 500 beautiful items on April 29th at the Masonic Temple, where food, music, and Mexican dancers were in abundance. The building bubbled with excitement, and many thought this was the best Silent Auction they had ever attended.
A record number of volunteers busily collected a wide variety of donations, resulting in wonderful packages for sale such as Date Night, Pamper Me, Party Time and Happy Father’s Day. Shoppers also enjoyed gorgeous student art pieces thanks to the Sandoval Art Committee, a signed Nuggets Basketball, and many great bargains.
Teachers offered lunches, picnic outings, and educational excursions. Enticing to all, they benefitted the lucky students whose parents won them, as well as bringing in money for Amigos.
New this year was a sponsorship program. Together these sponsors donated thousands of dollars to Amigos, and we are indebted to their generosity:
